Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding any of the Bots to your Discord server or using any of their commands, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Bots.

These Terms apply to all users of the Bots, including server administrators and individual members.

2. Description of Service

The Bots are Discord bots designed to help Dune: Awakening communities with:

• VoteBot — Recruitment voting and recruit tracking
• BorrowBot — Shared equipment lending and tracking
• JobBot — Crafting job management and contribution tracking
• DogBot — Game server monitoring, player count graphs, and voice announcements
• SpiceRunner — Spice haul tracking, refinery calculations, and payout management

The Bots are provided free of charge as community tools.

3. Eligibility

You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines to use these Bots. By using the Bots you confirm that you meet Discord's minimum age requirements for your region.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Bots only for their intended purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to exploit, abuse, or manipulate the Bots' commands or data
• Use the Bots to harass, defame, or harm other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to Bot data belonging to other servers
• Interfere with the normal operation of the Bots or their hosting infrastructure
• Use automated scripts or tools to spam Bot commands

5. Server Administrator Responsibilities

The person who adds a Bot to a Discord server ("server administrator") is responsible for:

• Ensuring their server members are aware the Bot collects data as described in the Privacy Policy
• Configuring the Bot appropriately for their community
• Ensuring the Bot is used in accordance with these Terms and Discord's policies

6. Data and Privacy

Use of the Bots involves the collection of certain Discord data. Please review the Dune Tools Privacy Policy for full details of what is collected, how it is used, and how to request deletion.

7. Availability

The Bots are provided on a best-effort basis. The operator makes no guarantee of uptime, availability, or uninterrupted service. The Bots may be taken offline for maintenance, updates, or any other reason at any time without notice.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Bots are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The operator makes no warranties regarding accuracy of calculations, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the Bots will be free of errors or interruptions.

Any calculations or data provided are convenience tools. The operator is not responsible for any disputes arising from in-game transactions based on Bot output.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Bot operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Bots, including but not limited to loss of in-game currency, items, or missed actions between players.

10. Termination

The operator reserves the right to remove the Bots from any server or restrict access for any user at any time, particularly in cases of abuse or violation of these Terms.

You may remove any Bot from your server at any time via Discord's server settings. Removal does not automatically delete stored data. To request deletion of your data, contact the bot operator or use the relevant Bot's deletion command before removing it.

11. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Bots after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
